Big bear summer high altitude camp starts 8/14/11. There will be a select group of both guys and girls that will head up to train at over 7000 ft. 10 guys and 10 girls will stay in two neighbored cabins from 8/14/11 until 8/18/11. The purpose of this 2nd year event is to bond the team together by having them interact throughout the day and having them push the same boundaries that are set. More reports to come on the Mustangs Big Bear Camp.
A great turnout as always as the team further implements Lampost Pizza as the team's traditional fundraiser/eatery.
The Yorba Linda Cross Country team had raised well over $700 at the Yard Sale last Saturday on July 9th. With all 700 of those dollars going to proceeds that will honor late Coach Kisner for all that he's contributed to the team and to Christine Stevens, a cross country mom bravely fighting cancer. Relay for life starts in three weeks.
Cross Country Camp starts off with a stampede! One new coach, Mike Yoshinaga, has been hired for the men's team to help them train. Training continues like usual with Coach Miller running with the girls, Coach Lejano running with the upper girls, Coach Yoshinaga running with the boys, and Coach Santana running with the upper boys.
